Rico and Jordan Channel

by A.man.I & Daphne Channel

On April 19, 2006 two beautiful boys were born into this world. Our sweet babies stayed in this world for a brief moment before they were called home and left as Angels.

Rico and Jordan are our truest love and deepest sorrow. We miss them dearly.

Please join us in supporting the March of Dimes' fight
against premature birth.

Thank You,
Daphne and Amani

I'm watching the video now. But as a mom, I don't really know if I can make it all the way through.

When my Angel Ava was born, before I left the hospital with her, my mother pressed into my hand a small blue envelope. I didn't look in that envelope for a while, but when I surfaced enough from caring for a newborn to open it, in it was a form asking me to donate to The March of Dimes, and a note from my mom asking me to please give to the March of Dimes because I had a healthy newborn now, and that the MOD had helped educate hre, my mom, during her pregancies, and to please give for the work they've done to raise awareness about the myriad of issues associated with pregnancy and childbirth.

I never did make that donation, but I scrounged around my office just now and I found that seven year old blue envelope with my mom's scratchy handwriting on it.

While I'm fighting back tears watching your video, I'm going to make that donation now. Finally. Because you, and my mom, asked me to.

Hey Amani and Daph, my god time flies. I was not able to view the video but just the remembrance of today marking one year since the birth of the beautiful twin boys brought tears to my eyes. It spured all of the emotions I felt when I received the news. I must say, it is an honor to have you both as my sons god parents. I know when the opportunity arrises you both will be outstanding parents providing lots of love and guidance to your little ones.

Love you both,
Santria Jones-Rasheed

Hey Amani,

Thanks for sharing this. My 2nd son Jack was born premature 7 weeks early and weighed less than 4 lbs. He spent almost a month at the hospital in the neonatal intensive care unit. We were blessed and he made it out OK and is now a very healthy 5 year old.

The March of Dimes is a great organization --- thanks for helping do your part to reach people -- and more importantly, to remind people like me how fortunate my wife and I are.

This is the most personal video I have seen at this place. I'm sorry about your boys. If the idea was to get donations for March of Dimes, it worked.

Hi Amani & Daphne, time flies so fast, I can't believe it's been a year already. I never realized how close the boys were born to Blake. We never know what God has planned for our lives and why he allows the different things to happen to us, rather good or bad, but he knows. I do know the next time that stork visits your home , that you'll be awesome parents to the "twins" that Daphne says she'll be pregnant with next time : )
I've been seeing the differents advertisements for the Walk and donation request, but never really thought about giving, since our pockets are tight. But I just realized no amount is too small or large to help a wonderful cause. So I have stopped giving excuses and help give a little one a chance @ life.
We love you both!!

Watching this video was a roller coaster of emotions. I felt your joy and your pain.

As an 43 yr old sistah with a daughter with cerebral palsy, and the mom of an 8 day old angel that went "home" on June 18, 2002, I know the pain of losing a child.

I always say that I have two special needs angels, one on earth and the other in heaven.

I will keep you all in my prayers and know that God's playground has been enriched by little Rico and Jordan.

May your blessings be many and your trials be few.

Sis. Sepialove
